It's that time of year again! Time to look back on all the books I've read in 2018 and choose which ones are my favorites. I did A LOT of reading this year. Way more than I have in the past, especially over my summer months. I read more adult books than young adult books, definitely heavy on the romance - um, I am Ginger after all, & I LOVE a good romance!
While I sit here with a cocktail in hand, listening to my Top Songs of 2018 (courtesy of Spotify), and trying to remember what day it is (hey, I'm a teacher on holiday break, don't judge!), I'm realizing that I've spent the majority of my year reading exactly what I want. That may mean I picked up a favorite book and read it twice, or maybe even for a third or fourth time. I did not pressure myself to finish a book if I wasn't feeling it, either. Reading is my happy place and I refuse to waste moments in that happy place with things that don't, well, make me happy.
So, in no particular order, here are my favorites I read in 2018...
And because this list wouldn't be complete without ALL of my favorites, here are my past loves that I revisited a second time (some a third or fourth time) this year...

Did you read any of my favorites this year, too? Let me know in the comments. If not, tell me some of your favorites so I can add them to my own to-be-read list for 2019!
I completely fell in love with Starry Eyes when I read it this year! And I also really loved The Way You Make Me Feel, The Kiss Quotient Stay Sweet and 9 Days and 9 Nights! I really need to read more Christina Lauren!
ReplyDeleteJosh and Hazel!!! I loved that book so much and made my top reads. Loved Starry Eyes, Love and Other Words, TKQ, and The Proposal this year too.
