The DUFF Giveaway!

I read The DUFF by Kody Keplinger back in 2010 and it immediately became one of my favorite reads for the year on the blog.  This contemporary hit close to a personal part of my youth and quickly I realized the power of literature and how we can connect to it as readers.  When I found out the book was being made into a movie, I squealed with delight.  Then when I saw its cast of characters, especially the role of Bianca Piper, my heart exploded -- could not have been cast more perfectly, in my opinion.

I am SUPER excited to be working with CBS Films, hosting a giveaway for the book (movie tie-in cover), along with a this super rad t-shirt and movie poster.  If you haven't read this book yet, now's your chance, just in time to see the movie which hits theaters this Friday, February 20th!

  1. Hmmmm that's a tough question. I don't read a lot of contemporary and I don't think my fantasy books bring me back to high school years, lol. Thanks for the giveaway! I've heard many great things about The Duff. 😊

  4. I have bought many Judy Bloom books for my daughters because I so loved them when I was growing up. Judy Bloom just seemed to understand kids and their issues.

  5. Probably Twilight, If I Stay, And We Stay and North of Beautiful. Too hard to pick just one. But there's something to be said about a story that talks about finding yourself because we all go through that.

  6. Oh man... this is going to make me seem like such a dweeb, but I didn't read Harry Potter until I student taught. I felt like a kid again though.

  8. Anything by Sarah Dessen! I started reading her in middle or early high school and every time I read one of her new ones, I'm transported to that time. I love them as much now as I did back then!

  11. Attachments by Rainbow Rowell is the book that most recently reminded me of my youth. Not the storyline, but all of the 80s references. It is always so much fun to be reminded of those small things that you have otherwise forgotten.

  13. Ooh, that's so hard! I'm not sure about a book that brought me back to high school, but once I started college I started running and training for my first half marathon, which definitely changed my life, so reading Breathe Annie Breathe by Miranda Kenneally brought me back to that!
