This week's Top 10 Tuesday prompt wants to know our favorite series enders (and not so favorite). I decided to keep my list to just the few that I felt are the best of the best when it comes to endings of a book series.
Don't worry, I won't be sharing any spoilers -- but if you have not read these books yet, I'm hoping my attention to them will entice you to soon! Be sure to check out The Broke and the Bookish for more details on this awesome weekly feature.
Clockwork Princess (Infernal Devices series) by Cassandra Clare --THE BEST series ending, in my opinion
Shine (Shade series) by Jeri Smith-Ready
Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy series) by Richelle Mead
City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments series) by Cassandra Clare -- In my mind, this is where this series ends
Perfect Fifths (Jessica Darling series) by Megan McCafferty -- My most favorite ending in a contemp novel
Where She Went (If I Stay series) by Gayle Forman
We'll Always Have Summer (Summer series) by Jenny Han
Real Life Boyfriends (Ruby Oliver series) by E. Lockhart
I also have We'll Always have Summer on my list! I am planning on reading Where She Went by Gayle Forman next month. Awesome list !
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT: http://adventuresofateenagebookworm.blogspot.ie/2013/10/top-ten-tuesday-best-worst-book-series.html
Totally agree with City of Glass. The series should have ended there! My TTT
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to read the Shade series for a while now! Jamie said they were my kind of books, so I have her copies on my shelf, but haven't read them yet! I gotta get on that. I've seen these books on quite a few lists today!
ReplyDeleteI also still need to read the Jenny Han Summer Summer series! Again, I own them. haha
Maybe I need to stop buying books and read the ones I have. I'm sure my bank account would approve. ;)
Ok so the only one on your list that I've finished is Where She Went and it is one of my FAVORITES EVER. Like ever ever ever. I didn't love If I Stay, but MAN OH MAN that Where She Went is a male POV done perfectly. And I listened to the audiobook which made it even better because the reader was an excellent Adam!
ReplyDeletethe only one I've read on your list is City of Glass. I agree, that's where the series ended for me as well. City of Glass is on my TTT post as well. I still haven't read Clockwork Princess. I'm just so nervous about it. I bought the darn book, but I'm terrified to open it. I can't be the only one who feels this way, right? :)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing Ruby Oliver on your list! I skipped this topic this week, but she would definitely have been on my own list. Love that kid.
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing Clockwork Princess on lists this week, so I'm even MORE excited to read this series now! I'm also going to give VA a second chance (book one didn't wow me, so I was on the fence about reading on), but I've seen it on a few lists too, so I think that I can at LEAST try book two. And I totally agree with you on City of Glass -- the series should have stopped there; trilogies are the perfect length for a series!
ReplyDeleteLast Sacrifice and Clockwork Princess were both on my list too. And City of Glass ended well so I still have high hopes for the last book! ~Pam
