Our Song by Jordanna Fraiberg
To be published: May 7, 2013 by Razorbill
Olive Bell has spent her entire life in the beautiful suburb of Vista Valley, with a picture-perfect home, a loving family, and a seemingly perfect boyfriend. But after a near-fatal car accident, she’s haunted by a broken heart and a melody that she cannot place.I first came across this book at Anna Reads, and she compared it to Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles -- which I have to agree with! Obviously the stories are a bit different, but it's got that same "a tragedy has brought two people together with a mystery wrapped up in their new-found love" thing going on. It was added to my to-be-read list then & I hope I've caused a few more to add to their lists now.
Then Olive meets Nick. He’s dark, handsome, mysterious . . . and Olive feels connected to him in a way she can’t explain. Is there such a thing as fate? The two embark on a whirlwind romance—until Nick makes a troubling confession.
Heartbroken, Olive pieces together what really happened the night of her accident and arrives at a startling revelation. Only by facing the truth can she uncover the mystery behind the song and the power of what it means to love someone. [goodreads]

ReplyDeleteI definitely will be adding this to my TBR list. It looks really interesting. I haven't read Leaving Paradise, so now I kind of want to pick that one up, too :)
ReplyDeleteTo me it sounds eerily similar to Forget You by Jennifer Echols. But that was a really good book, so hopefully this one will be too!
